Yvonne plays a vital and wide‑reaching role across the Pontyclun community.
She is a key contributor to the local over 50s Forum, Warm Spaces, and the Turning Pontyclun Blue dementia awareness campaign, where her energy, compassion, and commitment help these initiatives flourish. She also volunteers at the local food bank, offering practical support to residents in need, and previously organised the local Macmillan fundraising group, leading efforts that made a significant difference to people affected by cancer.
Alongside this, Yvonne generously supports other community organisations by advising on funding applications and is an active champion of the Community Centre, helping to strengthen its role at the heart of village life. Her dedication enriches community wellbeing and makes a meaningful difference to residents of all ages.
We are proud to recognise Yvonne who has taken remarkable initiative in strengthening the social fabric of our community. By stepping forward to organise and connect our many social clubs, they have created new pathways for collaboration, communication, and shared activity. Their dedication has helped clubs support one another, reach more residents, and offer even richer opportunities for people to socialise, participate, and feel part of community life.
