The Freedom of the Town of Pontyclun is a ceremonial honour that Pontyclun Town Council bestows on individuals who have made a truly exceptional contribution to the local community. To mark the 175th anniversary of Pontyclun in 2025, the Town Council proudly conferred the Freedom of the Town upon five distinguished individuals. As Pontyclun looks to the future, the Freedom of the Town will become an annual honour, planning to have one person added to the rolls each year.
