Sian Assiratti

Sian Assiratti is a Councillor for Pontyclun East

Born in the Rhondda, Sian attended Porth County Grammar school for girls.

After leaving she worked in Montreal, Canada for a year before returning and settling back in South Wales. She has 2 boys who attended Bryn Celynnog Compregensive and 2 grandchildren

Sian is passionate about the renewable energy industry, in oparticular the use of solar, wind and her current project to make green hydrogen to reduce carbon emmisions.

Sian is busy helping to look after a toddler grandson, though still has time to study French at Cardiff university centre for lifelong learning

Sian is an LEA governor of the Ferm Foundation in Pontypridd and the Convenor for the Council’s Local development Plan (LDP) Working group
